The Dating Game

So today I am at the YMCA swimming. When I finished I asked the lifeguard why they where closed last Saturday. She told me someone threw up in the pool, NICE. Apparently there is a state law that says the water has to go through the filter three times with the chlorine levels up. She then explained it’s either one end or the other. I made a joke about a Baby Ruth and she got it. The young woman with here didn’t get the joke, she never saw Caddyshack. Oh well another way to date myself!

I am watching the fat infant show. Maury is running the show fine but... I wish these talk show producers would have some kind of reciprocal agreement. These family's really belong on Dr. Phil These parent are stuffing their children. It reminds me of the 700lb guy whose girl got off watching him eat. He had great food and great sex on the downside she beat him with a cane for not finishing the crumbs from eating 10 hotdogs. Is their a name for this disorder?

It happened again. I went to see "Meet the Fuckers", very funny. Once again someone not only forgot to turn off his ringer but answered the call and carried on a conversation, WTF! I am really beginning to believe I attract this these crappy people. One day, one day, JAMMER!

Would you believe glasses on the internet? I checked them out at BBB and they are aok, not so with the others. I can't wait until they can beam them over to me, Star trek anyone? I am just trying them for my close up project glasses not my regular prescription. I learned how to check the pupilary distance with a sheet of paper so I will be sure they are dead on. I will post more when I get them.
Ordered them on a Friday got them Tuesday. Good looking frames, the PD is perfect. The corners of the lenses do not seem to be perfectly ground to fit the frames but barely noticeable.

The Aviator

So last night I go to the movies to see "The Aviator". It was good, what I did not know when going was that its a Scorsese film. I don't think you can go wrong seeing one of his films. What I could not believe was all the advertising before the film started. Hey I allways accepted the advertisements or trailers for other films or the cute characters reminding me to buy popcorn. What gets my goat is the freaky Fanta add by coke, and the Scion add by Toyota. I mean hey I paid $9.50 to sit here and then get bombarded by this crap. My $9.50 is not enough to pay the bills? HBO does this to on cable, but I don't pay for cable so that's another story. I like the cute commercials for reminding you to turn your cell phone off and every one laughs. Then I am sure some of the same people that laugh are the ones that GET A FREAKIN CALL DURING THE FLICK and ANSWER THE DAMN CALL AND TALK WTF! The FCC and that ahole Powell should allow cell phone cameras to be installed in theatres. Maybe I should just carry one, how is anyone gunna know who gets the $14000 fine for using one. That's my rant for today, later.

Laptop Picture Frame Wireless Hack
What to do with and old laptop and free time? Rip that thing apart and cram it in a picture frame. These things are sold ready to go but they don't have the robustness of a full laptop running XP.
First I got a 11*14*2" shadow box frame. I cut a black mat to fit a little smaller than the screen. After ripping the LCD out of the notebook I hot glued thin wood to the mat to hold the screen centered and taped it down.It was a perfectly good laptop sans a dim screen. I changed back light bulb that is 2mm by 275mm. It is a tiny fluorescent bulb so I guess I am qualified to change it being an electrician and all.

I push new pictures to it across the wireless network and if I have to work on it while it is on the wall I installed realvnc

I also installed a hot key program so one keystroke will shut it down, I made little plungers to hit the power button and shutdown key through the back.
